Andy recently posted on Facebook that he's having computer issues. His recording software won't function on Windows 10 (which he just migrated to). I imagine he'll have to sort that out by buying a machine running an OS that will work with that.
The computer problems have been taken care of, fortunately without the expense of buying another piece of high-tech junk. I found an older version of Audacity that works with Windows 10. The larger and more significant issue is that at the moment I don't feel able to approach this delightful music with the levity and love it requires.
Is there such a thing as Broadcaster's Block? I had attempted a playlist for today (Oct 16) but the sarcasm and bitterness with which I approached the topic showed every sign of leaving a bad taste. This is fun music, but I'm not much fun these days.
I won't go through the litany of what's getting me down, but it's not health related. Once I find the lighter side to all this I'll plug in the microphone again.
This is the reason that I wouldn't have 10. Too many people I know are having too many problems with the damn thing!
I've made my peace with Windows 10. I still haven't made peace with myself. Maybe next week.
