I was so glad to hear Jack and Gene's "I Get the Blues When It Rains." Gene Carroll hosted a TV variety program on Sunday mornings for more than 30 years and was at least a small part of most Cleveland-area kids' lives. (There are a few episodes from the '70s up on Youtube.) Although Gene sometimes performed on the show, this was the first time I'd ever heard a recording of him in his prime.
Thank you! There are also a few early records out there with his other radio partner, Glenn Rowell. I'm so glad you liked this!
