"Warming Trend" March 9, 2012

(Week 302)

This RADIOLA! is thawing and breaking up a bit.

RADIOLA! streams continuously from my Live365 station. Thawing podcast here. RADIOLA! is sent free each week to subscribers on my mailing list.

Additionally, I wanted to mention that we saw a wonderful show last week in Syracuse: Poor Baby Bree in I Am Going to Run Away. This is a wonderful cabaret of old songs (some of which you hear on this program), all woven into an engaging narrative. We met and talked to Bree Benton and her accompanist Franklin Bruno and I highly recommend you check out their website.

Last Sunday was the 55th anniversary performance of Dick Ames' Bear Cat Jass Band, also in Syracuse. This week I've included two selections from that show. Congratulations and many thanks to Dick and the Bear Cats!

Andy, I keep hearing references to "hate mail," and thus far, have been unable to supply any. However, if we don't get more Vocalion transfers soon, who knows? I might start nursing a grudge...

Chris,

I haven't run out of Vocalions yet. More are on the way. I've also done new transfers of some dealer-stock Victors which will start turning up this week.

I think we can negotiate here!

Thanks,
Andy
