"It's Bad For Me" August 1, 2008

(Week 133)

Alexander Woollcott (whose ashes are buried a very short distance from WHCL on the Hamilton College campus) famously said, "All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening." This RADIOLA! celebrates all that which does us absolutely no good--with a nod to Louis Armstrong along the way.

Tune in tonight to WHCL-FM (with streaming HERE)--and if you listen closely, you may actually hear Woollcott turning in his grave. Live365 gets the show soon thereafter.

Outstanding assortment of vintage sounds, Andy!

From the highly entertaining combo of Ray Noble & Al Bowlly to Johnny Dodds to Marion Harris & Annette Hanshaw {two of the all-time greats!}, then mix in the infamous New Orleans Wanderers & N.O. Owls....and throw in some classic Art Tatum and later King Oliver!

Genius......

Nick,

Thanks again! This show was fun. And I'm glad this theme could include some real New Orleans jazz.
