Diamond Disc Extravaganza (August 26, 2005)

I've just uploaded a Live 365-only edition of Radiola, featuring a selection of Edison Diamond Disc recordings from my childhood stash. I recorded them on cassette tape in the late 1980s, and they are presented with no audio adjustments other than Dolby B noise reduction. It's a short program (65 minutes) but it's all-new, previously unheard material. (Except of course for the Anonymous Ocarina Man, but he's earned a place in our hearts.) All these are Edison records, except where noted:

Duke Yellman and his Orchestra -- Oh! If I Only Had You
Ocarina Man -- William Tell Overture (Columbia 78)
Green Bros Novelty Band -- Whispering
Green Bros Novelty Band -- Yes! We Have No Bananas
Gladys Rice and Betsy Lane Shepherd -- Cry Baby (From "Helen of Troy, New York")
Al Bernard -- Who's That Knockin' At My Door?
Ernest Stevens' Trio -- Why?
All Star Trio -- Shimmee Town
Criterion Quartet -- Honey Babe
Vernon Dalhart and Frank M. Kamplain -- Ukulele Lou
Broadway Dance Orchestra -- Ka-Lu-A
Harry Raderman's Jazz Orchestra -- Shuffle Along Medley
Vernon Dalhart -- Way Out West in Kansas
Jack Kaufman -- You Can't Walk Back From an Aeroplane
Polla's Clover Garden Orchestra (Will Provost, vocal) -- Travelling Blues (An Indigo Wail)
