Nostalgia This Friday (December 15) on WHCL

Owing to the pre-break schedule Friday, December 15 of Hamilton College radio station WHCL broadcasting will start at 6 PM EST with THE BIG SOUND OF RETRO RADIO, hosted by Mark Fuller, which sounds EXACTLY like the local programming you heard growing up in the 50s and 60s. Listening to Mark is like entering a real time warp--since he has been a DJ since the 1960s (and makes use of all the pertinent jingles, commercials, and records) he has the tone JUST RIGHT.

RETRO RADIO is the ideal lead-in to RADIOLA! which will air at its usual time of 8 PM, and will turn back the clock even further, occasionally before the dawn of radio itself. (The playlist will be posted as soon as I determine what it is.)

At 10 PM a special public affairs broadcast featuring Vyzygoth and Cori Brackett on the dangers of aspartame will be aired. This is an excellent program, from Vyz's "FROM THE GRASSY KNOLL" series, and I commend it to your attention.

After that, WHCL is off the air for Winter Break. Merry Christmas!
