"Mysterious Moon" by Elsie Baker ("Edna Brown") 1912

There has been some positive comment on the song "Mysterious Moon" recorded June 15, 1912 by Elsie Baker (as "Edna Brown") and the American Quartet. I wish my copy of Victor 17166 were better, but I was happy to find a nicely transferred copy by the Library of Congress (through the UCSB Victor Discography site) and it warrants posting here.

Capitol Theatre Doings

The console of the Rome Capitol's 1928 Moller

I was honored to be asked by Rome Capitol Theatre director Art Pierce to contribute a guest essay to the Capitol Theatre Blog. My piece "Whatever Became of Nostalgia?" was published today. I'm very happy with how it turned out.

This Saturday (October 29) I will be playing the original installation 3/10 Moller from 6:15 PM until the start of the Capitol's special Halloween show featuring William Castle's Mr. Sardonicus.

What? No Links?

Owing to a recent development or two, I'm in the process of rethinking how each week's program is published. From this week onward, the show will be available for download through my email list only. It will still be posted on my Live365 station which streams with shows in continuous rotation. Also, I will be seeking other file sharing sites for hosting the show.

I'm in the process of removing the 4Shared download links from the site, but the shows (except for Week 265) remain in the folder. Those wishing download links for a particular program can send me an email and I will forward the links.
